Lars Boutrup releases his fifth instrumental opus, “The Overture to Life.” Set to enchant listeners on August 12, 2024, the album promises a sublime journey through the intricate realms of progressive rock. In this creation, Boutrup delivers eight transcendent compositions that push the boundaries of the genre.

The album marks the second collaboration with the current trio, solidifying their synergy. The trio draws inspiration from the masters of the 70s, such as ELP, Yes, and Pink Floyd, while forging a path uniquely their own.

The Man behind the Music

In between “Small as a Ball” and the new album “The Great Beyond”, Lars Boutrup released his second “Sonic Tool Box” album “A Space in Time” in 2017 and has played numerous live concerts in different constellations.

Lars Boutrup’s extensive career includes collaborations with Simcess, Big Bang, Evil Masquerade, and Supernova, among others. Over the years, he has composed music for more than 200 silent movies. Currently, he continues to release new music with Sonic Tool Box and performs live with the band SilverGlam.
